Welcome to Fern River Psychiatry where we empower patients and establish genuine, empathic, and trusting therapeutic relationships in an effort to reduce stigma associated with receiving mental health services. We offer a collaborative approach and encourage shared decision making.
We provide outpatient psychiatric medication management to adults (ages 21 and older) across the state of Maine using evidenced-based medicine. Services are offered online only. We do not offer in-person services.
We do not accept insurance and are considered "out-of-network." Please note that due to rules and regulations set forth by the government, we are unable to see patients with Medicare (Original / Standard) or Medicaid. However, we are able to see patients who have Medicare Advantage Plans.

One of our goals at Fern River Psychiatry is to provide high-quality and convenient care to those who do not have access to psychiatric services in their community.
Use of telepsychiatry requires:
a reliable internet connection
access to an electronic device (cell phone, iPad, desktop, laptop, etc.) with video/audio capabilities
private area to discuss sensitive information
You must also be physically in the state of Maine at the time of services provided.
Benefits of telepsychiatry include not having to take additional time off from work to travel to and from appointments, rushing to get to your appointment on time, or having to reschedule because of unsafe road conditions.
